I admit it. I love 1970’s-era kung-fu flicks. And I love 1970’s-era blaxploitation flicks.
But what do you get when you mix the two? You get…“Black Belt Jones!”
Here is the movie trailer for that immortal classic. When I watched this the first time, I literally melted into tears and five minutes of uncontrollable, convulsive laughter.
This, my friends, is what makes life worth living.
There are no words… except… “Right on!”
‘Right On’ indeed…
and such great hair! :O)
My kind of Saturday Afternoon Movie…
I got stuck on ‘kung-fu flicks’ … try saying that fast 10 times.
Right on and OUCH, brother! That’s gotta hurt.
Yes, this is very entertaining, but I’m afraid when it comes to kung fu flicks that my heart still belongs to Jackie Chan.
P.S. Are you going to be smoking anything this weekend? 🙂
I’m with you guys. I kinda miss the 1970’s also. Long hair was in, JImi Hendrix was alive (for a few days, at least), bell bottoms, big belt buckles, white pants, wide lapels, long collars.
But then again, no Internet.
Yeah…screw the 1970’s.
yep, i agree with you guys, Black Belt Jones is a cult classic. ALso worth a watch is Black Samurai which also starred Kelly. Can anyone recommend any other crazy USA 70s ‘so bad its good’ kung fu movies?
